With many years’ experience by our team, and 14 years helping locals, Barossa Hearing clinic will help you hear what you have been missing.

DEB SMITH (formerly Deb Sheldon)Owner / Audiometrist

Deb Smith is the Senior Audiometrist at Barossa Hearing and has been working in the hearing industry since 1980 where she volunteered with the Deaf Society. Ever since she was a teenager, Deb developed an interest in hearing loss, due to her love for her Grandma and her Great Grandpa who both had a severe hearing impairment. Driven by a desire to help people overcome communication problems, she studied sign language with Deaf SA so she could communicate with her friends, some of whom were profoundly deaf. After completing her Certificate 3, 4 & Diploma in Audiometry, she began working in the hearing industry full time. Now as the owner of Barossa Hearing, she enjoys working with industry experts to improve life for her community and is also a Full Member of the Australian College of Audiology.

Expert Audiometrist & Audiologist

With trained hearing specialists, Audiologists and Audiometrists, Barossa Hearing is independently owned, giving you access to expert, unbiased advice.

What does this mean for you? Unlike many hearing clinics, we are NOT owned by a hearing-aid company. This means we will give you unbiased advice, instead of selling your our brand of hearing aids. We focus on the best solution for your hearing. We only recommend using a hearing device if we feel you will benefit from it and always provide an obligation-free trial.

We are also accredited under the Hearing Services Program (HSP) to provide Department of Veteran Affairs clients and pensioners with a range of services at no out-of-pocket expense.
